So, after watching Small Island (among many, many others), I’ve noticed some things about the characters Benedict likes to play: They are emotionally unstable assholes who have suicidal tendencies. They have wives who like to have babies - other people’s babies. They like to pop their collars and live in houses with black doors and brass knockers. They are usually awkward, adorable without meaning to be, and generally infuriating in their inability to react appropriately in social situations.
And I love every last fucking one.
Except for Talbot. I hated that bastard.
